Test Drive Day A Comprehensive Evaluation of Five New Energy Vehicles, Based on Data, Who Wins

With the continuous research and innovation of new energy vehicles, they have become the preferred choice for more families when purchasing cars. The market sales of new energy SUVs are far ahead. After all, when choosing the first car for many families, they tend to prefer a larger space to meet the travel needs of the whole family. However, for other aspects of car selection, the emphasis points vary. Recently, the official of Autohome gathered five popular new energy SUVs with a price range of around 250,000 to 350,000 yuan, namely the New VOYAH FREE, Li Auto L7, AITO M7, XPeng G9, and Lynk & Co 08. And these five models launched a real dynamic evaluation.

In order to allow everyone to intuitively feel the actual combat performance of these cars. The test method adopted this time was to conduct an offline track real combat PK among the above five models. Through seven items including cornering test, 0-100 km/h acceleration, 100-0 km/h braking, moose test, side slope test, comprehensive passability test and hump bridge, to evaluate the performance of these five models. Want to know the final test results? Follow the editor and read on. I believe the results will surprise many people.

Cornering Test

When we drive daily, turning is indispensable. In this test, it will be divided into two types, one is the static test and the other is the dynamic test. The static test is to turn the steering wheel to the fullest for a U-turn, and then measure the smallest turning radius of these five cars. In terms of detailed performance, in this part of the test, the performance of VOYAH FREE and Lynk & Co 08 is better, the turning is smoother, and the dynamic experience is also better.

0-100 km/h Acceleration / 100-0 km/h Braking

Judging from the data and performance of the 0-100 km/h acceleration test, the Lynk & Co 08 did not achieve the expected excellent result due to the ground-scratching at the start, achieving only a result of 6.13 seconds. Although it is higher than the measured result of 6.24 seconds of the XPeng G9, the latter has a maximum power of 230 kW, while the comprehensive power of Lynk & Co 08 is as high as 436 kW. The 0-100 km/h result of the New VOYAH FREE is the most outstanding, at only 4.93 seconds, ranking first. The 0-100 km/h acceleration result of the Li Auto L7 reached 5.64 seconds, ranking second. However, the AITO M7, which is also an extended-range SUV, has the worst performance. The 0-100 km/h acceleration requires 6.36 seconds, which means that when starting and overtaking, it will be slower than other models.

Moose Test

As we all know, the moose test mainly tests the chassis adjustment of the vehicle. In this test, all five cars successfully passed the moose test at 60 km/h. After increasing the difficulty, only Lynk & Co 08 and the New VOYAH FREE passed the moose test at 68 km/h. Among them, the New VOYAH FREE passed the moose test at 72 km/h with a stable posture thanks to its excellent chassis adjustment.

Side Slope Test

In this test, the torsional rigidity of the vehicle is mainly examined. The performance of these five cars was good this time. After entering the side slope in sequence, they all successfully opened the trunk and passed the test.

Comprehensive Passability Test

As a relatively basic function of the vehicle, the XPeng G9 adopts the rear-wheel drive method and therefore does not participate in this item. VOYAH FREE and Li Auto L7 performed well. The AITO M7 failed to pass the test due to the height of the battery.
